My First Halloween Horror Nights

I wanted to try something new to celebrate my son’s birthday and mine, so we finally went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando - and it was my first time!

We live in Orlando, but rarely go to the theme parks. My biggest reason? I hate crowds and I hate waiting in line.

So we splurged on the HHN Express Pass, and it was a total game changer. While posted wait times were as long as 90-120 minutes, we typically waited only about 20–30 minutes in the Express line. That meant we were able to experience all 10 haunted houses and still be home by 11 p.m.

And, the houses were fantastic! Sinners was definitely our favorite.

It was such a fun night - My only regret is that we didn't do this sooner!

10 haunted houses, plus scare zones and live entertainment

HHN is a separately ticketed event, so you do not need a regular Universal theme-park ticket if you're only attending Horror Nights.

For us, the Express Pass was absolutely worth it. It turned what could have been a night of standing in lines into a night of actually experiencing Halloween Horror Nights.
